One of the most interesting features about military watches is that in
most cases, issue records are kept by the Army, Navy and RAF that can
identify a particular watch from the details above to a particular
serviceman that has been issued with the watch.
Fixed lugs
allow the military strap to go through, thus providing a
stronger hold (than the normal flexible pins fixed on civilian watches)
to rough out through the critical condition during war time. This is an
important feature of a military issue watch, evidencing its age and
authenticity as an army watch issued for the war.
